About the program:

Millions of students will be looking forward to getting a break from their hectic school & college life. Participating in a winter camp is a great way to utilize the holidays. Winter camps offer a structured opportunity for children to grow and learn in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths. From friendship-building to hands-on activity, your child has a lot to gain from attending a winter camp. We will look at the Tinker Winter Program, an innovative winter program for school kids in India that leverages hands-on learning and teaches students about building technology solutions to the world’s biggest challenges. Come learn the skills of the future- hard skills (drilling, cutting, soldering, electronics, robotics) and soft skills (design thinking, communication, presentation, teamwork).

Hi I am Aditya, a 16 years old from Jharsuguda, Odisha. My experience at Young Tinker Academy was so amazing and innovative. I have learned so many things that I have never done at my home or in school like CAD designing, assembling 3D Printer and creating models on it , soldering, drilling, learning Arduino, making of different types of bots with Arduino UNO by using different sensors. I also helped other students with their projects and engaged them in a collaborative activities. I have gained a lot of confidence after the fellowship program and have improved my communication skills.

I am a 11th grader studying at Carnegie Vanguard High School, Texas, USA. I came all the way from US to experinence Young Tinker Academy. It is the spark that improved my public speaking and made me confident in my hands-on ability. It was an exciting experience learning stuffs how to create metal pegs and an IR Sensor bot. I am a 16-old girl who loves doing Dance and extracurriculars like tennis and running, which get my blood moving. My artistic side likes to design brochures and learn about digital marketing. I'm passionate about making this world more sustainable, where people are healthy through natural means. I stayed in Bhubaneswar for a month and the program helped me figured our what I wanted to do in life. Tinkering helped me learn and figure out. Frequently asked questions

1 .  Do you provide accommodation for outstation students?
Ans: Yes we have accommodation facilities for outstation students only (with extra charges). Young Tinker Academy, Bhubaneswar is at the VIP colony, Nayapalli, which is a prime location in Bhubaneswar. You may arrange your own accommodation in nearby hostels.

2. Do you help us in VISA process for students from another country?
Ans: We provide the letter of invitation from Young Tinker Academy, which will be helpful for the VISA Process

3. Do you have separate batches for Junior and Senior students?
Ans: Yes, we have separate batches for std. 3-7 and std. 8- 12 

4. Do you provide takeaway kits for students
Ans: Yes, students can take the tinker kit along with them. 

5. What if the kit or its items are lost/damaged?
Ans: Students have to buy the kit or the lost/damaged item again from the academy. 

6. Do you provide Certificates to students?
Ans: Yes, the students will get certificates after the completion of the program. 

7. Do you provide scholarships for the program?
Ans: No, there is no provision for a scholarship for the Tinker Program. 

8. How are students selected?
Ans: Students can register themselves for the program on a first come first serve basis as there are limited slots for each batch through our website. You can call us for any queries.

9. Can YTA help high school students crack the admissions at top colleges abroad?
Ans: Yes, of course. A lot of our students are now placed in the best universities across the globe.

10. Who are the ideal participants for the YTA’s Winter Tinker Program?
Ans: Our hands-on education programming is open to students between the ages of 8 to 18 years. Students are divided into small groups based on their skill level.

11. How to apply and enrol? What does the camp look for in applicants?
Ans: Interested students (and parents) can apply online through our website. 

Social Media Marketer

Key responsibilities –

  • Creating content and scheduling social media posts
  • Creates and distributes engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, or social media messages
  • Organizing and running marketing paid campaigns over social media platforms
  • Interacting with customers and dealing with customers’ enquiries
  • Developing new social media strategies and campaigns
  • Managing a budget to be spent on promoting social media posts and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising
  • Keeping track of data and analyzing the performance of social media campaigns
